Borehole Drilling at Esuk Oro in Oron Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
After a power packed continuous
sensitisation of transition from United Nations Millennium Goals (MDGs) to
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), action begins to make the SDGs a
sustainable reality. Today, we have completed a Borehole Drilling Project at
Esuk Oro in Oron Local Government Area as part our drive for Clean Water and
Sanitation (GOAL 6).
This community had only one source of
water, (the stream) which could be contaminated to some extend hence the
suffering from lack of portable drinking water. The Akwa Ibom Sustainable
Development Goals Network (AKSDGsN) an arm of Nigerian SDGs Youth Network
(NSDGsYN) through the umbrella of Global Youth Leadership Initiatives who’s aim
is to accomplish the UNSDGs through voluntary youth action determined has made
this a success and reality.
Many thanks to the members of AKSDGsN,
their voluntary supports and donations, also from friends who will soon become
part of the Vision 2030.
2. Coming Next: Goal 3 Good Health and Well-being.
With specific target on prevention of
Malaria Epidemic for a better good life and productivity. We are targeting
1,000 rural and swampy communities. These includes supply of treated
mosquito nets to households including Primary Health Centers. Malaria kills
thousands every minutes as reported by WHO as the silent and faster killer
which is often neglected.
Become a volunteer today and serve our community
as we join hand to Fight Malaria for a Sustainable Good health and Well-being
by 2030
